Waveguides, Antennas and RF Components
RDR 105 is designed for technicians seeking to understand the critical components of modern radio frequency (RF) systems. The course delves into the theory and practical characteristics of waveguides, exploring their use in high-frequency signal transmission. Students will learn about the operation and application of rotary joints for signal transfer across moving interfaces, as well as phase shifters for signal manipulation and beamforming. The course also covers the function of circulators in directing RF signals and provides a comprehensive overview of various antenna types, their radiation patterns, and impedance matching techniques. Through theoretical study and hands-on laboratory exercises, participants will develop the skills necessary to identify, test, and integrate these components within diverse RF architectures, preparing them for real-world technical challenges.
